Clue at Wilson LibraryLocation: Wilson Special Collections Library, UNC-Chapel Hill
Dates: Spring 2015 through Fall 2016 Clue is a live-action mystery game put on by a interdepartmental UNC Libraries committee. A homegrown app directs players and teams through various rooms and collections in Wilson Library. Participants interact with Clue characters (played by library staff) and solve clues related to collection items to uncover the identity, location, and collection item held by the library ghost. |
Wikipedia Edit-a-thonsLocation: University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
Dates: Spring 2015 through Spring 2016 Wikipedia edit-a-thons are events where new and seasoned editors improve articles around a specific topic or type of content such as cultural heritage sites or women's history, and they typically include an introductory training session for first-time editors. I have organized or led training sessions for edit-a-thons focused on art and feminism, Native Americans in North Carolina, African Americans, women and graphic novels, and North Carolina folk musicians. I also coauthored a toolkit for organizing a successful Wikipedia edit-a-thon, linked below. |

Dates: April through June, 2016 This exhibit honored the legacy of Dr. Josiah Charles Trent and the donation of his remarkably history of medicine collection to Duke University by his wife, Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans.
